#IMOVIE 10.1.2 EVENT FOLDERS MOVIE#
I have edited a movie in iMovie, but when I go to share it, the share menu is all greyed out. In terms of quality, the next 2 choices are Quality and Compress. The size of the file will change depending on the quality you choose, which will show up on the left side in. Now, you have the option to choose the resolution quality of the export video, which is usually 540p, 740p and 1080p.However, if your video footage is 4K quality, which iMovie now supports, there will also be a 4K option. Now back again, 'Delete' the 1080p Video inserted in iMovie. You can see the 1080p size resolution is Enabled. If you have any other Video that has a Size in 1080p drag and drop it in the editing part. So, if you're hoping to save 1080p and 4K files using iMovie, then you'll want to keep 1080p and 4K sample files around to drag into iMovie's working space Imovie Won't Share To File. Yes, if you drag a 720p file into iMovie's working space, and then a 1080p or 4K file preceding it, 1080p and 4K options will be grayed out when exporting or sharing file. Any ideasįirstly check if your movie footage was shot in 1080p or check if it has somehow been compressed into a lower resolution like 720p? Then check if any still image you've used in the iMovie project is in a lower resolution of 1920x1080? Also, I noti. I had some other videos that I stitched a lot more and so I figured it had something to do with all my editing, but this was a fresh 1080p import, clip a few seconds off the start, and export. I checked Get Info on the imported file on my mac and it is 1080p.
